Machine Design

 

 

Assignment:

 

As per our work as a team is done in week 9 and my contribution for making the bearing. For week 11 our assignment is to automate the machine we worked on and document the project as a group and individuals.

As a group we decided to design and program a tool in which we can find find any item in our multi drawer and cabinet. Also we decided to use second hand stepper motors. The parts we are going to use is to made the other parts  by using the 3D printing.

 

Then we will automate our design to be a machine to create  and finalize our project  “Find Me”.

 

 
 
 

My Contribution for this week:

 

It is required for me to to design the support  to hold the whole machine  and also get involve in the testing of the  machine.

 

 

Designing the support and Cutting:

 

The supports were  designed by using Onshape  and using the measurement ruler I figured a lot the right dimension to hold the machine.

Then I have to convert the file from STL to nc format (note: after repairing the CNC in week 7 it was recommended to use the nc  format instead of artcam)

I made 4 similar pieces to use them for supporting the machine.
